You can review just about everything else on the web nowadays, from cameras and TVs to hotels and airlines, so it is not surprising that a host of websites have sprung up where you can actually review your employer – with your identity hidden of course!
It makes sense. If you are looking to change job, whether it is a case of web developer jobs or sales jobs, you want to know how well your potential new employer is going to treat you and whether it is a good move which will take you further up the career ladder.
I first heard of these sites several years ago in the Middle East when I found out on the grapevine that both former and current employees of one of my clients were posting reviews about working for him – none of them glowing I might add, and it would certainly not make me rush to send in my CV to work there. I had known that he was a strict task master but I then realised just why the employee turnover was quite so high!
Take a look at what you can find on the internet as they range from the helpful to the downright hilarious.
Even if you are not looking for a new job, take a peak to see what people say about some of the companies you know.
