Labour got it wrong.... again.

Wednesday 30th September 2009, 10:47

Commenting on the anger expressed by conservative peer Lord Tebbit, Secretary of Mid Ulster and West Tyrone Young Unionists, Ryan Moses  said “I concur completely with the comments of the Right Honourable, The Lord Tebbit with regard to ex IRA Chief now joint First Minister of Northern Ireland, Martin McGuiness being invited to speak at the Labour Party Conference. Young Unionists hold highly successful beach clean in Groomsport

Friday 31st July 2009, 11:59

In a bid to play their part in keeping Northern Irelands beaches clean during the summer, the Ulster Young Unionists recently held their third successful beach clean to join in with the Coca-Cola sponsored Clean Coast Programme. This time they were in Groomsport, a village well known for its marvellous coastal beauty.

Speaking after the event, Vice Chairman of the Young Unionists Alasdair O’Hara said: We were delighted to have the opportunity to visit Groomsport and work with local residents to clean the beach. However, these areas don’t continue to look well for long unless they are maintained and kept clean. That is why it is important that everyone does what they can to help protect the local environment and why we as an organisation wanted to do something to help keep Northern Ireland tidy.”

Referring to the Criminal Justice legislation introduced recently Mr Moses said; “This change in legislation is long overdue and I welcome the news that police officers will now have the authority to seize vehicles which are causing nuisance. The problem of cars and racers in not a new one, and in urban areas such as Castlederg, this is a particular problem. I am very aware of the problem in Castlederg but our constituency office is always receiving  complaints about these so-called ‘boy racers’ who repeatedly drive through the town, through residential areas where young children may be playing causing frustration to those who live in the area.”

“Up until this point residents have been left discouraged and an…
